Voices of Ventalor: Voice Acting Audition

Voices of Ventalor was a social media campaign designed to grow Campaign Casters Podcast’s following, remaster audio quality, and current announcements for 2026. We wanted our audience to be a part of the show while we were updating the listening experience where listeners can audition to become the voice of NPCs featured throughout Episodes 1–24.

This campaign was built around Campaign Casters’ Onboarding and Play With Us content pillars to engage and connect with our show. The campaign began in late October of 2025 and will end January 31st 2026.

Production began in September of 2025 where I led my team to develop and plan a number of tasks that would make this campaign go smoothly as much as our four person team could handle. I was the campaign manager, Ari was our Social Media Manager, and Keegan and Dan were our episode editors. As a Slippery Rock University graduate with other Cast Members as enrolled students, I had the opportunity to connect with the SRU Theatre Department and shape this campaign to be acting experience students could use for credits.

Pre-Campaign consisted of the following:
-Campaign Rules and Journey (Divided into Four Phases)
-Content Calendar
-Audition Requirements & Form Creation
-Campaign Email Templates
-Website Content to direct & inform audience
-Gathering audition lines from episodes, creating role descriptions, collecting reference images
-Announcement and Social Media Scripts
-Create Audition Grading sheet
-Working with an artist for campaign logo/design

We offered 26 roles our audience could audition for and we divided this number into our four phases to mange the number of auditions coming in. Gathering lines and timestamps took our team a lot of time with keeping up with our normal posting and content gathering schedule. Each phase lasted two weeks long, breaking the work load into manageable chunks. This strategy gave our editors ample time to re-edit our episodes with our new voices.

Campaign Launch consisted of the following:
-Interacting and responding with auditioners
-Creating multiple forms to collect the amount of auditions that came in
-Creating an information/contact sheet of all the auditioners
-Grading and ranking auditions for roles
-Reaching out to peers and connections to spread awareness

Launching our first campaign was no easy feat. The amount of auditions that came in within the first few days maxed out our form capacity where we had to create multiple forms and update our website to make it a smooth process for auditions. I was the team member that handled all the emails and really got to interact and build connections with all kinds of folks. Emailing and replying was the highlight of this campaign because the responses we got reinforced Campaign Casters’ mission of building a community where we can bring each other up.

During this campaign, my co-founder, Haven Joseph-Lyon got to attend PAX Unplugged 2025 as visitors, but used this experience as a networking event to really connect with other creators in the table top role playing game (ttrpg) space. Luckily enough, we got to meet podcast groups and content creators that have a much larger following than us, and one of these groups offered a few members of their team to join in the fun (Cast Party: A D&D Podcast). Our team quickly drafted up material for their team to audition for and we were beyond thrilled to have that type of support for Campaign Casters that launched in October of 2024.

Final Stages of Campaign:
-Closing Auditions
-Editing casted voices into show
-Remastering previous episodes and announcement content
-Mailing all participants “Thank you” gifts
-Crediting and Posting updated content

December 31st was when Campaign Casters officially closed auditions and are now in the last stage of this campaign where we are editing and updating the show. It was also the goal to make exclusive merchandise for everyone that participated and write hand written notes to truly thank the people that support this campaign. This campaign will conclude January 31st where all episodes will be remastered, new voices will appear, and the mailing process will in forward motion of wrapping up.

In September of 2025, Campaign Casters had the following:

1, 691 Total Episode Downloads - 1,039 Followers on Tik Tok - 206 Followers on Instagram

Currently, Campaign Casters has the following:

2, 659 Total Episode Downloads - 1, 934 Followers on Tik Tok - 266 Followers on Instagram
149 Auditions for Voices of Ventalor - 30 Roles casted with over 900 lines

Our following and episode downloads have increased by at least 900 throughout the four months this campaign was active. We have big plans for 2026 to continue our growth, but we hit important milestones for our show and community.
